The Everest Foundation has been founded by the founders and past volunteers of Volunteer Society Nepal (VSN Nepal). Volunteer Society Nepal was founded on a belief that this could do more for international and national volunteers, and simultaneously do more for the development of our home country.

Volunteer Society Nepal was registered as charity in 2004. Since its inception, Volunteer Society Nepal has placed hundreds of volunteers in Nepal and made a significant difference to our country. Amongst many of other projects Volunteer Society Nepal helped Everest Foundation Nepal to establish a charitable school that educates over 250 children, 2 health clinics that give basic medical care to hundreds of the poorest Nepalese, started women's skills training groups and VSN Nepal also supports through Everest Foundation Nepal over 100 orphans with fresh fruit, vegetables and clothing . The volunteer fees from VSN Nepal actually completely support the most of the projects run by Everest Foundation Nepal. This is only made possible by the generous efforts of VSN Nepal volunteers
